Why choosing brazing?
The brazing procedure, used since Ancient Egypt times, offers many advantages for permanent metal joints:
- Low temperature of application
- The metals to be joined don't melt
- Different heating sources can be used for reaching the brazing temperature
- The procedure allows for joining of unlike metals or alloys, for instance, copper-copper, carbides-steel
- Brazed joints are really resistant. Many times, even more resistant than the metal base
- Brazing is adaptable to automatic processes
- Quick to be made
- Ductile joints which allow them to resistant to vibration
- Inexpensive
- Easy and quick to be made. Little brazing filler metal is used
- Low heat energy using
